Wood sculptures (Pair), "Bless Our Love"

Gazing toward the heavens, a young man and his sweetheart clasp their hands in prayer, asking for blessings on their relationship. Suparta carves and paints the figurines by hand, giving them an aged, antiqued finish. Standing on lotus blossoms, they both wear strapless robes known as kamen, and a udeng hat crowns the man.

Because every sculpture is individually crafted by hand, the colors or motifs may vary slightly so that each is a unique work of art.
