These amethyst earrings came in the mail today. Couldn't wait to open the sturdy little box and try them on. The picture only hints how lovely these earrings are. The design is stylish, the craftmanship flawless, the gems big and nicely faceted. Today is the 55th anniversary of the day my husband and I met, and these are part of our celebration. I was very drawn to the design of this ring as I thought the leafy band was so intricate, unique & pretty. It is all that! Amethysts are a favorite gemstone of mine but I’ve encountered far too many pale & disappointing ones. I had low expectations of this one since it looks fairly pale in the photos. However, in person, I was totally blown away by the intensity of this stone. It is an amazing deep purple color & just perfect in every way!! I love the round cut, too. To say it far exceeded my expectations would be putting it mildly. I couldn’t be more pleased.
