Handcrafted by Thai artisan Aunchalee Kaewduangtip, this tealight holder will make a charming addition to your home decor. The wonderfully tranquil elephant is brought to life after being molded, fired in the kiln, and hand-painted. A glistening glaze completes the design while hand-painted motifs add to the characteristic charm and enchantment.

Designed by Javanese artisan Kika, these petite teacups have a wonderfully organic vibe. The pair is crafted from ceramic and features an indigo glaze on the exterior and a light blue glaze on the interior. Their misshapen style looks great with both rustic and modern decor.

Peruvian artisan Percy Rojas's crafts this set of two dried gourd ornaments designed as tiny bird houses. The artisan grows, harvests and dries the gourds himself using them in wonderful and creative ways. A myriad shades of blue conjure a cool and soothing universe in this elegant nierika, or votive beadwork painting by Kupihaute. Scorpions scuttle purposefully around the center of the composition, which takes the shape of a flower with five wide petals.

The artist, who writes fluently in the Huichol, Nahuatl and English languages, talks about this work in his own words. "From the focal center of the nierika, the precious flower arises in spiral movement as the culminating expression of the deepest roots. The blossom is keeping in its entrails the seed that will disseminate the power of creative energy. This is symbolized by the scorpions that, in their wonderful body symmetry, show the essence of the power itself, since any imbalance in its mating dance, any missing the target, will cause its own poisoning and thus its own death. Therefore the symbol of cosmos, of order is shown in their mouths and the tails."

The intricate images are formed with tiny seed beads. Kupihuate patiently places them one at a time with a needle made of abalone shell onto a huanacaxtle wood backing. Beeswax is used instead of glue.

The process is totally spontaneous, with no previous sketch or design. It is guided by the artist's unconscious to tell the stories that remain in our collective ancestral memory. He signs his work with the symbol of a butterfly on the reverse side of the nierika.

Eliazar Ochoa in Peru crafts this wonderful long tapestry on a traditional pedal loom, using pure wool yarns on a cotton warp. The tapestry features three large blossoms in burgundy and cerise on a background of sky blue and azure. The large flowers are joined by purple tulips and green leaves in the symmetrical composition.

Coming from Balinese artisan Gio, this wall panel is as delightful as it is unique. Using four pieces of albesia wood and connecting them with metal hinges, the artisan creates a foldable wall panel that depicts a growing flower blossom in lovely shades of red and blue. The artist finishes the design with a wonderful antique finish, adding to its charm and beauty.
