Spring Day of the Dead

This tray is really beautiful. I am very happy with it, but I would caution buyers that the finish is not smooth and glossy, as I thought it would be. It?s more of a porous, Terra cotta feel. I say this because, in spite of its description as suitable for food, microwave safe and dishwasher safe, I can?t imagine doing any of those things. I suspect my daughter will use it more for a catch all tray on her bureau. It?s truly lovely.

After visiting Mexico and falling in love with the warmth of its people and the richness of its culture, I began searching for the perfect Catrina—one that truly honored the spirit and artistry of Día de los Muertos. I was looking for something of impressive quality and timeless beauty, and I found exactly that in this piece by Luis Morales. This sculpture is nothing short of magnificent. But so much more. The artistry and delicasy of these earrings is simply amazing. I have liquid silver and turquoise necklaces that they perfectly complement, but they look good with practically anything-from dressy to jeans and a tee. Just make sure you add a plastic backing so you don't lose them-these are to be treasured.
