These were purchased because I think the mythical bird they represent is the phoenix. It burns to ashes and is reborn. These are symbolic of that rebirth and on the ear, they definitely are those others will want to come closer to see. They are just the right length. They have enough presence to not get hidden or forgotten. They are special for wearing casually and for a night out on the town. Short hair or hair worn up will definitely draw attention, but they will not get forgotten in long hair either. They are a statement pair of earrings. Definitely detailed in silver of the mythical creature which is ultimately reborn again, and again.

My new "go to" bracelet.

I'm a visual artist and I love what I call "artsy jewelry", but because I meet with customers to paint their portraits, I also want to look professional, and I need a cuff style to wear while painting so it won't get in the way. I had a favorite that I wore so much for over 30 years that it finally has broke. Sadly I had to replace it and so I visited the various art and craft shows and businesses in my area but to no avail. I was on the search for something that looked unique, handcrafted, quality, yet casual. I thought I'd never find the perfect bracelet and almost gave up. Then it occurred to me to try looking on novica. I put in the filter sterling silver cuff bracelets. When this image appeared I read the description and hoped this might be "it". For my former teacher on her 86th birthday

I personally love carnelian since I first saw it in the wall panels inside the Taj Mahal. It's such a beautiful but someone mysterious stone and I love the fact that it glows when light is shined through it. My teacher, Joan, is a very elegant lady with still black hair and one striking streak of white at the front. I knew these would look fabulous on her. AND THEY DO!
