Makes me smile

I get a little happy every time I see these ornaments. I had originally put them on a Christmas tree--they were the extra special touch among all the traditional stuff. My family thought they were cool and even wanted some. And actually, they are still on display, long after the Christmas decorations were put away.

A new gem in my collection of sacred art

I'm a practicing Buddhist with training as an artist & craftsperson, so it might not be surprising I've filled my home with beautiful examples of sacred art. When I saw this unusual, beautiful, painted carving of Buddha, I couldn't resist buying it to add to my collection & grace my home with it's lovely peaceful energy! A Lovely Carving!

This is a beautifully done carving. It arrived today and it looks just like the picture. With its wings and wisps of grass and cloud around it, the pegasus gives the impression of being delicate and ready to fly. But the carving is actually quite thick and made to last. I haven't hung it properly yet, so you can see the screw it's sitting on at the top, by the sun. But it does have a hook attached on either side for hanging. So now I just have to find the perfect place to hang it!
