Artists from Java and Bali have created these unique candle holders in local materials, each with their own unique flair. Take Siro from Bali, who works exclusively in glass and ceramic. Born in a small village on the island of Java, he moved to Bali after graduating from high school and set up his own studio to create his delicate works of art. As he says, “I am inspired to create something unique that people would enjoy, and of high quality.” One of many contributors to NOVICA’s Balinese candleholder collection, Siro and the other artists like him create, from their surroundings, works of art that work well with any decor as well as preserving traditional Indonesian crafts for future generations.
