From Rita Addo Zakour's "Ntoboase" series, this original mask represents "Patience," in the Akan language. The seed-like mask is carved by hand of African sese wood with brass insets on the eyelids and chin. Featuring a slender nose and pouting lips, the mask's cheeks are decorated with colorful glass beads.
