This handsome mask depicts a person of power for horns are a traditional symbol of power in many West African tribes. "Power is earned and not bought," states Kwaku Ofosuhene Apenteng, referring to the tradition of selecting tribal chiefs according to family origin, not financial status. Apenteng carves the mask by hand from sese wood. He adorns the face with ornately embossed aluminum plates and finishes the mask with hand-painted details.

A pretty soft green. Love the twist and the fact the earrings are made out of recycled glass. Would like the hooks a bit longer.

This was my first Novica purchase, so I was wary. But I was blown away by the quality of the piece and very happy with the size. Shipping was much faster than I anticipated based on the delivery window I was provided, and the item was well-packaged for protection of the artwork. The gift wrapping was beautiful, as well! Overall, everything about this purchase exceeded my expectations, and I am a very satisfied customer. I would purchase from this artist again oh, and have I already purchased from Novica several times now!

This is a fun and attractive bracelet that compliments any outfit. Great colors and it stays in place. I don?t have large wrists and it was a rather snug fit, plenty of room to get it on and not be tight, but not for someone with large wrists.
