I like dealing with Novica. But this particular came damaged or unfinished. The mirror and surrounding paddings came loose and mirror was cracked. It also had a very heavy odor to it. Not very happy with this purchase

I love charming metal works and the animal motif is especially graceful for a metal piece.

This brass door knocker is highly detailed and well made. Its size is the perfect fit for my front door.
You can find our brass jewelry box 'Elephant Greeting' by Khalid Ali in jewelry boxes categories such as Brass Boxes. Enjoy exploring these sections for other Novica treasures.
Preserving Traditions
Khalid learned repousse metal work, known as patra, or Indo Napoleon, from his father and uncle. He continues to grow artistically and has taught many of his family members and other artisans the vast array of skills needed to produce this distinctive form of Indian metalwork.

Khalid Ali has received 2 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $1000 and the most recent for $1800.
"Our designs are basically inspired from the ancient Mughal style. But today we incorporate modern motifs into the ancient technique and style."
