This fascinating wall mask portrays the revered Hindu goddess Sita, who stands as the central female figure in the ancient epic, the Ramayana, and is the consort of Rama, the avatar of the god Vishnu. Through the intricate technique of batik, where wax-resist dyeing is employed, the exquisite mask by Javanese artisan Gunadi comes to life on a canvas of black wadang wood beautifully adorned with a mesmerizing interplay of vibrant motifs and colors.

These are bigger than expected. Absolutely beautiful. Not very heavy so branches of tree are not weighted down. The design work is stellar. I highly recommend this artist, he is very talented. You will not be disappointed with his work.

I like the unique shape of these coasters and the exotic paint design. Only wish there was a lip on the edge so the glass will not feel like it is going to slip off.
