A regal, peaceful face carved from cow bone is encased in sterling silver and adorned with two faceted blue topaz gems. These dangle earrings from Balinese artisan Komang Suastra are decorated with numerous dot motifs, in the Balinese jawan style. They are named after the village of Celuk, which has produced remarkable silver works for decades.

These are well done earrings. The faces are carved very well; the silver is lovely and very substantial. The top topazes are well-matched. All topazes are blue. One of the topazes on the bottom is not as well cut so does not radiate light or look as intensely blue as the other. Not worth sending back and unlikely anyone will notice with my dark, medium length hair.
