Cedar sculpture, "Communicate"

With stylized line and smooth cedar grain, Kwame Kandavi depicts a man who sounds a horn. "In the olden days, a horn was the means of communication used by a chief to convey message to his people," he says. "Before a country can develop, its history must be traced and learned. We also need to learn about the histories of other nations."
