Jose Arriola crafts this charming 12 piece nativity scene in hand-painted ceramic. Dressed in traditional garments worn in San Antonio Aguas Calientes, the angel Gabriel joins Mary, Joseph and the infant Jesus. The Three Kings visit the lovely scene while an ox, a donkey and a shepherd with lambs accompany the tender event. "I'm a person of fervent faith," the Guatemalan artisan confides. "Crafting these nativity scenes brings me great joy."

“So Beautiful!!!!”

These stars are all beautifully made and painted. I thought I might give them away individually, but I don t want to part with any of them! Jose, thank you so much for sharing your art with the world

“Beautiful, but bigger than advertised”

Im impressed with the quality of these ceramic ornaments. Theyre beautiful! They are 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches, not 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches.

Jose creates the most beautiful ceramic ornaments and figurines. His family has lived in Antigua for more than 100 years and he takes great pride in practicing the same ceramic techniques his ancestors used. He wishes to help this tradition continue and he teaches anyone in his community who has an interest in learning.

Microcredit Financing
