The legendary ceremonial knife of the ancient Inca, the tumi, adorns a dramatic pen and pencil holder. Angel Franco works with bronze and copper, achieving bold contrasts of color and texture. The tumi was used for rituals during the Inti Raymi festivities honoring the sun after the maize harvest. Today, it is a symbol of Peru.
