Wearing elaborate earrings, the Lord of Sipan is an imposing sight. His helmet takes the shape of the tumi, or pre-Hispanic ceremonial knife. Sipan is an archeological site in northern Peru where the tomb of the Lord of Sipan was discovered in 1987. Working in copper and bronze, Ana María Enciso commemorates the ancient personage in a beautiful mask. A hook at the back facilitates hanging.
