Autumn is the time of harvest in the Andean highlands. Apple trees are laden with fruit while cabbages, potatoes, pumpkins and more keep villagers busy in this beautiful tapestry. Llamas, sheep, goats and pigs abound in this exuberant glimpse of Peru. In one corner, a woman weaves on a backstrap loom.
María Uyauri creates the scene in intricate arpillería – embroidered appliqués of fabric cutouts hand-stitched to a background of cotton. Crafted in three dimensions, each figure is lavishly embroidered. A display rod can slip through an opening at the top of the wall hanging.

Beautiful colors and the perfect size for my wall. I was a bit worried about how the 3D figures would survive the mail, but a little adjustment before mounting perked them right up.

This detailed wall hanging is so much nicer than I thought it would be. It is very nicely done with a lot of attention to detail.b I will enjoy it for many years. Thank you for all the work and love that you put into it.

I love colors and flowers so I purchased this garland on a sale. It has exceeded my expectations. Almost entirely hand sown with flowers intricately done. No two are the same and each has a unique center. A wide variety of colors. I hang garlands vertically or drape along my piano top or mantel but for weeks I coiled this one in a circle in the center of my dining room table. No fresh flowers needed, but when I bought some I coiled the garland at the base. Very, very cheery.
