The Buddhist goddess Kwan Im is exquisitely handcrafted by Nyoman Sudiana in Balinese jempinis wood. The Goddess of Mindfulness is traditionally depicted as a beautiful woman, often seated or standing on a lotus blossom. Being a bodhisattva, Kwan Im can enter nirvana, but she remains on earth to bring all to enlightenment. The artisan carves the image with expressive details and flawless workmanship.

Unbelievable, so gorgeous!! I am an old bear collector and this carving is fabulous!!! He is sitting on the mantle of my bedroom fireplace where I can look at him all the time!!! I love this bear!!! Extremely talented carver!!! I wish he would carve a panda bear for me!!! Love Novica… great source of truly unique art!! Great experience!! Thank you!
