This regal pair of small masks is the creation of West African artisan Awudu Saaed. Hand carved from native sese wood, the tapered masks stun in green paint and gold-colored brass plating. The masks are named after the bambara, which is Malian for "antelope."

“Incredible Artwork”

Not sure how I stumbled upon this mask in the first place but from the moment I saw it, something about it haunted me. Its beautiful. I could NOT stop thinking about it and finally caved, and Im so glad I did. The colors, the beadwork, and the craftsmanship are all incredible. This is my favorite piece of art we own, by far. I cant wait to collect more of Awudu Saaeds work.
