This ceramic sculpture from Guatemala assumes the form of a red monarch butterfly. Inspired by his love for nature, Pedro Apop crafts the creature by hand. He adds the motifs using paint that he mixes himself in order to approximate the natural colors of the butterfly as closely as possible. A hook at the back permits wall display, or the sculpture can pose on a tabletop.
