Cerapio Vallejo creates this fabulous Ayacucho-style rug in sheep wool. This ancient craft has existed for centuries, having been passed down to the Incas after originating among the ancient Wari culture of Peru. Vallejo's technique is called kilin, which is characterized by the use of small, straight stitches. Although extra fabric and fifteen days of hard work are required for kilin-produced rugs, the end result is an extraordinarily clear illustration. Vallejo achieves the rich colors in the rug by using natural dyes.
Titled "Modelo matrimonio" in Spanish.

I just unboxed my rug and am in love. The texture (soft wool), patterns, and vibrant colors male this rug sing. I can feel the artists joy in crafting it. Photos dont do it justice. I plan to enjoy for many years to come.
