Details

Hamsa or the Hand of Fatima centers this red table runner by Miguel Hernández. Featuring beige contours, the runner includes a lamb and an eye. In Jewish and Muslim traditions, Fatima or Miriam's hand is regarded as a good luck amulet and protector from wrath, catastrophe and jealousy. Hernández weaves the cotton table runner on a pedal loom featuring bands of concentric diamonds, his family's trademark pattern, in light and darker shades of brown, as well as red, black, caramel and white. Butterflies in cream and black complete the design, along with a black fringe.
