Hand-Painted Dark Black and Brown African Sese Wood Mask, "Awurade Kasa"

Using a palette of black and brown hues, Ransford Bediako creates a splendid homage to his Ghanaian heritage. The artisan works on sese wood to create this gorgeous African mask, whose intense hues add an elegant aura to the piece. As the final touch, Ransford titles his creation Awurade Kasa, meaning "God speaks" in the ancient Akan language.
