Hand-painted with a stunning black and ivory motif, Nikom's parasol is just the thing to brighten your home. To create the parasol, the Thai artisan stretches handmade saa paper over a sturdy bamboo frame before painting the surface with a contrasting Buddha motif.

The craftsmanship is exquisite and I only wish it was a little wider, so everyone could see much more of this beautiful artistry!

This colorful, lovely work of umbrella art would have been perfect except I have a hard time opening it completely. Could it be due to my age(78)? I would like to find out if you also create smaller versions of these umbrellas, Mr. Nikom. I believe they are called monks umbrellas in Thailand. I would like to purchase at least half a dozen of them to give away as gifts if you do.
You can find our hand-painted paper and bamboo parasol 'Art of Buddha' by Nikom in decor accessories categories such as Buddhism Home Accents, Buddha Home Accents, Hand Painted Home Accents, Paper Home Accents and Bamboo Home Accents. Enjoy exploring these sections for other Novica treasures.
