Meaning "Knowledge" in Akan, the "Nimdie" is an original mask designed by Ali Mohammed. "I want to emphasize the importance of acquiring knowledge and the need to educate our children," says the Ghanaian artist. He carves the sese wood mask by hand and paints it blue with red eye brows, nose and lips, and black hair.
