A migratory breed, the Baltimore oriole flaunts striking black and orange feathers and wears a black mask and bib. His name comes from the colors of Lord Baltimore's coat of arms in the 17th century. Mauricio Morales depicts the bird in a ceramic sculpture and carefully paints it by hand before protecting the colors with a coat of wax. The realistic figurine stands on wire legs and the feet can be wrapped around a perch or branch.

I gave this as a gift and the recipient put it in a outside planter and it still looks good after a few years. He loves Orioles and happens to be a Baltimore Orioles fan.
