Women from the Lombok Pottery Center handcraft a pair of small covered bowls from black terracotta. Cone-shaped lids are accented with thin lines in contrasting beige. The artisans live near hills where the soil isn't fertile enough or agricultural purposes. However, clay from these hills is well suited for making pottery, and the potters work in their homes so they can look after their families. The lids make them particularly appropriate for keeping hot foods warm.

This lovely and unusual vase became the final addition to our newly remodeled bathroom. The colors are raspberry, terra-cotta, and yellow. Ive filled the vase with a simple, dried collection wit matching accents. Its a truly one-of-a-kind show stopper!
