Signifying the simultaneous presence of dark and light, as well as the sunrise and sunset, the Mayan glyph for the macaw, Aq'ab'al, is etched by hand into a medallion of dark green Guatemalan jade. Zandra Lorena Sajbin designs this stunning pendant necklace, inspired by the beauty of jade and the significance of pre-Hispanic glyphs. The pendant centers a length of adjustable cotton cord, and features the Nahual name "Aq'ab'al" inscribed on the reverse side.

My necklace just arrived yesterday and I already love it. The Guatemalan Jade is incredible and very well etched and polished and it hangs light, in case there are those who like lighter necklaces. The face of the pendant suggests it was hand done, but very well done at that, and I cant help but love to wear it.

I just love these earrings! They are a beautiful soft green jade set in silver that go well with casual or dress clothes. I did change out the original wires on these earrings with some longer skinnier wires that I can easily put on and take off. The other wires were too big for my ears. Unfortunately that meant losing the little silver accent at the top corner of the stone setting

I am glad Ive discovered the Maya Empress necklace. It is beautiful, minimalist without being too simple, with a perfect lenght, and elegant colours; realized with perfection. Five stars from me, and a big thank you.
