For this appetizer bowl, they select jobillo wood, which is native to the Peten region and distinctive with its dark rings. They carve the bowl in the shape of a jungle leaf that elegantly serves at your next party or get-together.
Hand wash with soap and water. Never use a dishwasher or expose the wood to heat sources or water, as they could cause it to warp. To renew the shine, polish the wood with vegetable oil and a soft cloth.

This is NOT an appetizer bowl, unless it is for one person. Entire bowl fits in palm of my hand. Good for holding a few rings or bracelets. Wood was not multicolored like photo, almost entirely tan in color. Well made overall.
