The Nazca petroglyphs remain an irresolvable mystery, inspiring Teofilo Choquecahua to design this stunning tapestry with the famed hummingbird. Now regarded Patrimony of Humanity the Nazca lines, as they are also known, are thought to have been some form of calendar for this pre-Inca civilization. Choquecahua weaves the brown and yellow tapestry on a traditional pedal loom with a cotton warp in the legendary Ayacucho style.

I love the colors and the simplicity but symbolic tribal design. Very well done, matches perfectly with a minimalistic yet artistic decorative style. Great buy!
