Referring to both day and night as well as light and darkness in the Hausa language, the "Dare Da Raana" mask is an original design by Sefah Annwhar. The talented Ghanaian artisan hand-carves the sese wood mask and applies clay to create rugged textures. He finishes the mask by painting one half of the face black and the other brown.
