Styled after the masks created by the Fang peoples of Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, this mask is the original design of Salihu Ibrahim. It features a concave face and markings on one cheek that are evocative of scarification practices. The mask is hand carved from sese wood and finished with local clay for an aged look.
