Neeru Goel spent much of her childhood in Kolkata, an Indian metropolis, collecting gemstones and jewelry. Today she is a jewelry designer who has turned her passion into a career. She designs these earrings with faceted peridot and composite turquoise set in sterling silver, recalling a forest floor dappled with light. Peridot is thought to open the heart to joy and enhance confidence and assertion, while turquoise is called the "purification stone", expelling negative energy and protecting against bad influence.

Preserving Traditions
Neeru is a self-taught jewelry artisan. Her designs are inspired by the rich heritage of traditional Indian jewelry. In her workshop, she and her assistants handcraft the jewelry molds and handset the gemstones. Neeru eagerly passes her knowledge to any of the artisans in her workshop who wish to master this ancient art.
