Carved in the shape of a star, polished pineapple onyx cradles a tealight. Sierra Family artisans showcase the extraordinary beauty of the natural stone. The popular girl's name Citlalli means "star" in Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs.

I like to light a beeswax tea light when I do my meditative reading and sitting. I like the onyx feel better than the ceramic holder I had before, and it is more subdued than glass holders. The eight-pointed star is an interesting design choice, which I am enjoying.

This apple reminds me of Bobby Goldsboros song LIttle Green Apples. I did not know that onyx could be green. It is the perfect color for this sculpture. Right now it is my one and only paperweight. I think it might also make a wonderful kitchen decoration.
