Hand-carved from sese wood and accented with pieces of embossed aluminum at the top of the head and at the cheeks, this African mask is created by Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu. This painted face sports elegant eyebrows with a red accent on the forehead and dotted patterns. A clay rub gives this mask a rustic finish. This mask is named Medo, meaning "my love" in the Akan language.

I have bought at least 25 wall masks from Novica and all have been beautiful until today. I received my Medo mask and I am very unhappy. The quality is inferior. In fact I would not waste any more money by shipping it back to the supplier. Ginger Hagberg

Abdul is such a talented craftsman and artist, as well. I have had this beautiful box sitting on my coffee table for quite some time now. My apologies to Abdul for the overdue review. Thanks again, Abdul!

The mask lacks vibrance. The colors are dull. Very Primitive in nature. The red doesnt appear as vivid as the photo. The size is nice. I recognize that one cant duplicate a mask over and over exactly due to it being handmade.
