By Angel Cerón, this ceramic sculpture interprets an image depicted in the Magliabechiano Codex from the late Post Classic period. It reveals elements of both the legendary Feathered Serpent Quetzalcoatl and also of the wind god Ehécatl. This wonderfully detailed Aztec deity wears a necklace of seashells and an elaborate headdress, and a bird alights on his hand.

I was so sad to hear of Mr. Ceron s passing. I am also very sorry for this overdue review for his gorgeous artwork. I have bought several of his pieces, and I genuinely cherish all of them. I will continue to buy these most remarkable and highly valued pieces of art from his family of great artists and craftsmen.
