The elephant-man Hindu god Ganesha is portrayed in a variety of vibrant colors, with a dotted, stylized appearance in this Gond painting by Vidushini from India. Once used as wall murals by the Gond women of Madhya Pradesh, Gond paintings represent a legendary style, carried on in this fantastic painting.

The painting is of the highest quality, on lovely heavy paper. I am having it matted and framed, and cannot wait to hang it in our home. The deep red background and simple black and white foreground combine to make the painting elegant and beautiful. The concept itself, of Shiva and Parvati joined as one, is unmatched in beauty. To have it manifested with such skill will be appreciated every single day. Thank you so much for sharing this art with us.
