Brazilian artist Telma Morais supports women's rights and causes with colorful compositions full of subtle messages. Her newest creation, titled A Desconfiada in Portuguese, puts today's societal problems in the spotlight through acrylic brushstrokes on canvas, as this naif composition depicts a woman looking with concern and distrust at her side, a symbol of the dangers they must face daily.
The artwork comes signed, stretched, and with a hidden message meaning "no is no."
