Brave Saint Michael Archangel slays Satan as a dragon in this wall relief panel by the Montalvo Family in Peru. They carve this dramatic scene by hand, transforming cedar wood's rich grain into a vivid vignette of the Christian faith featuring bronze leaf applications.

Michael's name means "Who is like to God?" which was the war cry of the good angels in the battle against Satan and his followers. He is the Church's patron and protector, as well as of paratroopers, police, grocers, mariners, and the sick.

This signed relief panel is fitted with a hook on the back for hanging.

“Beautiful but the colors are dull”

I was really impressed with the craftmanship but I feel that the colors of paint are a little dull and there isnt very much contrast, so the details of the wood carving dont really show or pop as much as Id like. It is a beautiful piece of art and very unique. It just pains me that the bottom portion of Michaels wings are basically invisible if you arent looking at it pretty closely. Their woodwork is amazing and unmatched.
