Profound Impact

Dewa and his employees are entirely dependent upon Novica sales to provide for themselves and their families.

Preserving Traditions

Dewa is a talented jewelry artisan who inherited his love of the arts from his grandfather. He draws his design inspiration from Balinese architecture and textile design and uses traditional techniques, such as repousse, wax carving, jawan and bon to create his unique collection of contemporary jewelry. He is always eager to teach these skills to anyone interested in learning the art of jewelry making. Dewa's dream is for his work to be internationally known and, in this way, to help preserve the art of Balinese silversmithing.

Job Creator

Dewa has steadily grown his workshop since joining Novica. He now has assistants and silversmiths who work with him. He is determined to grow his workshop and find international recognition for his unique jewelry collection.

Dewa Arimbawa has received 2 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2200 and the most recent for $5000.
