This pretty ceramic planter is crafted in the Talavera style by Mexico's Ivan Martinez. The dove-shaped pot is painted by hand with traditional motifs in blue, yellow and green. A hole in the bottom allows for drainage, and two holes on the back allow you to place it on a wall if desired.

“Beautiful, but not what I expected”

This planter is intended for hanging on a wall and has a flat back with holes for nails to mount it. There is a large drainage hole in the bottom. The opening for plants is only a couple of inches wide, though several inches long. Although it is lovely, it will be a bit of a challenge to use for plants. I had hoped it would have a round opening and I could insert a potted plant in it.
