Ralph Ashong's original design for this necklace is inspired by a vented house or Mframadan in Akan language. "A vented house is a place of repose and relaxation. It underscores the importance of shelter to human existence and development," explains the Ghanaian designer. The vents on this house-shaped pendant are colored with a clay solution, creating an admirable effect on a hand-carved teak wood. The pendant hangs from an adjustable leather cord.

The mirror is far more beautiful than the images. The leaves are laid over the underlying frame and caste a small relief. The green is a hue and has a depth of color. It is very professionally finished and perfect in every way. Packed beautifully and arrived in perfect condition. Thank you Ralph and Novica, I could not have asked for better.
