"A child's merriment is an unparalleled joy. This sculpture shows a child in his backyard tree house, climbing into it with excitement. You can imagine the joy on his face as he goes inside his own abode, feeling a sense of thrill as he explores the surroundings from high up." Indian artist Suresh Pant describes his unique, original sculpture. He collects a piece of sal wood from the riverbank near his home, carving the sculpture by hand with an abstract design to resemble the image of a young boy climbing into his tree house. A dark finish accentuates the wood, resulting in this imaginative home decor accessory.

This piece arrived well-protected and in perfect condition. Unfortunately, I could barely get it to stand up straight, as it is designed to do, because of imperfect weight-distribution. It wants to tip forward. A small, attached, solid base would probably have corrected this tendency, but, unfortunately, no base was integrated into the design. Not wanting to risk having it fall over and chipping or breaking, Ive laid it down horizontally. Being basically driftwood, it looks all right that way to me, but its not the way the artist designed it, nor is it the way that I envisioned displaying it. Too bad.

I read the reviews but remained somewhat a skeptic. If I could give this artist more than 5 stars I WOULD. It arrived safely and is exquisite. I immediately placed it in its new home ~ with intention. I cannot wait until I am ready to order another work. Money well spent. You will not be disappointed
