In this whimsical sculpture from Mexico, a human figure rides a bicycle that floats in the air via a parachute. Armando Ramirez carefully handcrafts this sculpture with a passion for converting upcycled metal; bike chain creatively forms the bicycle's wheels, as the human figure and parachute are crafted from nuts, bolts, screws, rebar, and other pieces of scrap metal, treated with a rustic finish. This sculpture is displayed atop a round base.

This is a first art purchase for me. I love that this is unusual but I love that it is so fun especially!

This is the fourth piece I have purchased from Mr Ramirez. (The other three were cats.) They are all fantastic! He captures the essence of a person, occupation or thing with just a few pieces of recycled metal. I don know how he does it. This motorbike is a gift for a person who once rode a full-sized one, but is now too old to continue. I know he will love it and it will give him happy memories.
