The huato (year) is solar, and the quilla (months) depend upon lunar calculations; certain economic, social and religious activities correspond to each month.

“Brilliant colors, intriguing shapes”

I often find myself looking at one or the other or the other of the many squares in this fine piece, and trying to imagine what the unusual shapes in the squares "mean." And at other times I find myself looking at the "whole" piece. This piece, in short, is fantastic art on both a macro and a micro scale. We just love having it as one of two wall hangings in our main room. The design and craftsmanship are superb. Thank you, Nilda, for your wonderful artistry!
