In keeping with her precious family tradition, Flavia Ruiz designs a splendid rug to honor her Zapotec ancestors. She obtains the ochre, red, and green hues from natural dyes and weaves the virgin wool rug on a traditional pedal loom, expertly shaping patterns of Zapotec lineage.
