this was a gift that the recipient truly appreciated. it sits on our mantel. it came very cleverly and securely wrapped and survived the trip in perfect condition.
My great grandparents immigrated from Ireland to America because of the potato famine in the mid-nineteenth century. My father worked as a railroad engineer early in his career. He would have liked these iron bookends upcycled from railroad spikes. Bravo!
I love the feel this work of art contributes to my living room. I don't light a candle on it as I worry it would fall, but the piece is beautiful without it.
