Artisans from the Angel Ceron Artisan Association recreate the elaborate stone sculpture known as the "Aztec Calendar" or "Sun Stone." Discovered in Mexico City, the original massive stone is on display in the National Museum of Anthropology and History. The Aztecs (or Mexica, as they called themselves) believed that the sun struggled daily against the forces of darkness. They aided the sun through human sacrifices. This beautiful replica is sculpted in clay.

The Sun God of the Coricancha, which means “golden temple”, illuminates every wall with majesty. Inspired by the greatness of the Inca empire, Ronald Franco, a Peruvian artisan, handcrafts this beautiful copper and bronze mask in great detail while thinking of the old legends about conquerors fascinated by the wealth of this deity and its temple. The mask has a hook on the back and is a meaningful icon of the Inca culture.

By Ruben and Gilda Perez, this beautiful mask depicts a bat, considered a rain god by both the Aztec and Maya cultures. During the dry season, masks such as this were used as a means of communication between humans and the deity in a request for rain. The artisans work in jade and stucco, carefully crafting a replica of a Mexican archaeological piece found in the Zapotec site of Monte Alban, Oaxaca. These replicas can take some seven days to complete. It arrives with a brass and pinewood display stand, and can also be displayed on the wall.
