I bought this for our daughter-in-law as a Christmas gift. She has loved horses since childhood and is a recent new mother herself. I could actually see how much she loved it as soon as she opened the package. This “Mother Horse” sculpture was admired by everyone that day. I know Kathy will treasure it forever. I had a vision of these entities protecting me in an Ayahuasca ceremony. I had never seen or knew anything about them before. Then one day I stumbled across them on the Novice website, and I couldn't believe my eyes. They look extremely similar to what I saw in my journey. They items were in great condition and are made with excellent craftsmanship. Thank you!

Exqusite and dynamic!

I have a lot of folk art, including a number of other pieces from John Barrow, and I am mostly only interested in depictions of animals, plants, and geometric forms, not humans. However the colors of the women's dress, combined with the condor, make this one of only a handful of pieces I have in my collection depicting humans, and I am extremely happy with it! One thing I realized I especially love about this piece is the dynamism that comes from having the condor sticking out away from the piece's center of gravity.
