Decoupage motifs depict the legendary art of Puebla to cover this reverent pinewood cross. The home of Talavera pottery, Puebla's ceramic art is legendary. Ana María González selects a colorful pattern depicting tiles.

With a corona on top of her head, Mother Mary stands with her hands held together in prayer as she wears a floral dress. This tall statuette is created by Guatemalan artisans Juan and Carolina; they hand-carve the figure of Mary from a single piece of pinewood, which is then painted by hand with colorful designs.

The image of the sun centers this Indian Madhubani painting, surrounded by colorful birds and fish at the top and bottom in expression of a unity between all living things. This painting depicts the birth of the Hindu sun god, painted by Ambika Devi. She adds intricate leaf motifs with linework characteristic of the Madhubani style. Vegetable dyes on handmade paper give the painting a vibrant look.

Wearing an elaborate crown, Our Lady of Mount Carmel extends her arms in benediction. Alejandro Chávez portrays the Madonna named for Mount Carmel in the Holy Land, where a chapel was built in her honor before her assumption into heaven. In 1251, she appeared in England, offering favors and protection to those who wear her scapular. Also known as Immaculate Virgin and Star of the Sea, she inspired the Carmelite order.

Known as a retablo, this traditional diorama is housed in a colorful chest crafted of wood and painted. Chávez carefully models each figure and paints them by hand.

Eastern and Western spiritual beliefs coexist in this fabulous beaded home accent you can hang and display at your favorite spot at home.
